The London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the UK with close to 1,000 participants and many thousand public attending the wider festival including live music, cultural activities and a food festival, as well as watching the main event: the racing itself.
The event raises thousands of pounds for charity and provides corporate teams with the opportunity engage with clients and employees in a fun team building environment.
The event is held at the London Regatta Centre, London Docks.
In January 2018, we were successful with our proposal to the London Hong Kong Lions Club to manage the Dragon Boat racing, including:
– All procurement
– Water safety
– Management of the race programme
– Recruitment of suitable staff to manage the event
– Writing the safety plans
– Overseeing the build of the Dragon Boat racing areas
– Managing the racing, sports presentation and water safety on the day
The event was a huge success, with all participants commenting on the quality of the event and how well organised it was.
