A site visit for a new event in Jeddah was conducted approximately 8 weeks prior to the event.
We were asked on behalf of World Triathlon to deliver the event, working with a local supply chain and 2 venues – Jeddah Corniche Motor Racing Circuit and Jeddah Marina and Yacht Club.
As part of the brief, we took a team of 9 staff out to Jeddah for event week to oversee water safety, event safety, event logistics, route safety, medical protocols and athlete / official / spectator services.
Working alongside the Saudi Triathlon Federation, the appointed World Triathlon Technical Delegate and the World Triathlon Sport team, we oversaw the event delivery to an extremely high standard, particularly considering timescales involved.
The project was not an easy one and featured overnight builds in order to share the venue with Formula 4 over the same weekend.
